I've just replaced a very old j1.0 site with a new j3.1 version in a different subdirectory under the same hosting account.

I've put the old site OffLine, and attempted to adjust the offline message to include a hyperlink to the url of the new site until all the users update their bookmarks...

Problem is, the system is assuming my href is a relative link, even though I have put in an absolute reference - resulting in a completely munged url, and 404 errors.

Is there some way I can force it to accept an absolute reference?
