Hi,

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to the developers of this tool. I m finding it very useful - especially as it provides a broad range of essential information 'at a glance'.

Question - how do I run it for 1.13?

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated, glad you are finding it useful. In the same breath, I have to apologise for being so far behind the 8-Ball with updating JTS and HISA for 1.0.13, it is on the schedule but as yet time has not been on my side to complete the work.

  Hopefully will get it done in the next week or so, with an update for 1.5 to follow also.....

1.0.2RC1 is the latest revision......

What do you mean by "it doesn't install" ?  It is not like an extension, all yu need to do is uncompress the distribution file, then make a new directory on the server and fTP the files to that new directory. It is designed to be standalone/external to Joomla!

Can you re-FTP the files again, making sure overwrite is on. I have tested this an it ran quite happily on less that 32MB for me on both Windows and Linux systems

Can you recheck your download and memory setting, I have literally just download from JoomlaCode(in case I had a bad upload or package) installed it and ran it fine

Thanks a lot for this excellent healthy tool :)

I was going to ask about the 1.0.13 point however I found an answer.

Hey Russ,

Thanks again for the tool...

I was having problems earlier today where I changed some of my folder perms on a myhosting server (trying to lock things down more tightly) and now I can't get into the backend - the Admin window keeps refreshing saying, 'You need to login'.  Argh.

So, I used JTS and made sure all the correct folders have writable permissions for logging in purposes and found a discrepancy between what JTS shows and Filezilla.  For example, I have /media FTP'd to 755 but JTS shows 757.  Is it possible my host is caching folder perms?  I've emailed them to find out but in the meantime I thought I'd query your enormous brain which now seems to be oozing out your nose...

gs

EDIT:  This may help. A few refreshes on JTS and I get this error:
Warning: filemtime() [function.filemtime]: stat failed for ../administrator/backups/index.html in /var/www/domains/somesite.com/docs/jts/joomla_flist.php on line 133
NOTE:  Before I posted this, I deleted JTS and re-uploaded.  Same error occurs.  Is this because I have .sql in here?  Is it unsafe to store sql database backups on the server if /admin is htaccess protected?

@swampy

I tested with PHP 5.2.3 over night and I had no problems, will keep looking in to it, maybe 5.2.2 had a weirdness somewhere

@guysmiley
I will have to check the logic for presenting the permissions, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

You host might have something like PRM (Process Resource Monitor) installed and the fact that we are potentially calling filetime() on a large number of files, using quite a bit of resource and then the page was refreshed several times..... PRM may have suspended the use of filetime() for a period of time to protect the server from runaway or rogue processes.

Hey Russ,

Thanks for the thoughts re: RPM.  As for my original login issue, I changed the /tmp (sessions) folder to 776 instead of 777.  Silly moi.

Btw, you didn't even comment on my crack about your 'oozing brain'... sniff.

Hi Russ,
first of all ... WOW what a tool  ;)

Now I've got a problem using the custom diagnostic.
All in a row, I let the tool make the custom file with hashes (permission=777)
I changed the permission to 444
I run the "custom diagnostic" and ...
I get errors for every single file and folder: "unespected file found"
Could it be due to proxy-firewall settings?
If this is the case what settings should I ask for?

(sorry my pityful English  :-[ )

What's your plans for a v 1.5 release?

She asked hopefully,

Thanks for the compliment Amy, but i am not so sure about this elevation of my capabilities.....

The roadmap (in my head) is to do a 1.5 version or try and keep the Tools Suite in one file-set,  time at the moment is not on my side though, a severe case of "Life" I think I will work towards a release for 1.5 Final rather than during the RC stages, not for any other reason than the above mentioned case of "Life".....

@sali40

What version of JTS and Joomla! are you running? Do you have the *.txt files uploaded also?  JTS supports 1.0.11, 1.0.12 and 1.0.13 only.

Thanks for answering, Russ.
I'm running joomla 1.0.12 and JTS Full v1.0-2F 280807

Now I'm realizing something weird.
In the root of the site, I have some directories that arent made by joomla. I mean, for example, the directory I made for the forum and the directory I made for docman's file.
I've edited the txt file generated by the tool and it looks like the tool doesn't make hashes for the files that are in those directories, so that every file in those directories is "missing"

Could it be the same bug that missed the valid_mos check in some of the files ? (see earlier post)

OK folks, I just started this today, so no holding your breath, ok...!

After being a bit hesitant due to the fact that a lot of information is already available in Joomla! and the fact that you need to have a working Joomla! to use a component, I decided to have a tinker and play with doing a JTS component anyway....

So, for for those that have been asking........... no time-frame or guarantee's with this one, time is always a pressure.....

com_jts for v1.0 is underway, the component will be a hybrid version of both HISA and JTS, it might not have all the same functionality, it might acquire some different options, not 100% sure yet.

Initial preview screen-shot attached.....

If you you have suggestions, idea's or thoughts, let us know......

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
