2 joomla installations on one domain?

Post by darrinhenein » Thu Jun 14, 2007 4:24 pm

Hey,

is it possible to have two separate joomla installations (essentially 2 joomla sites) on one domain? i.e. the main http://www.____.com would take you to a splash page with 2 links/options, and from there each link would take you to http://www.____.com/siteone and http://www.____.com/sitetwo .

is this possible? if so, how is it done?

thanx for your help!  :)

Hi there

Yes, just use two separate directories to install under the root - I would use a subdomain to refer to the directory (if I were in your shoes)

I have done this, two separate joomla installations in two different subdirectories.

However I think they sometimes conflict and I get an "Invalid Token" error which I suspect is due to cookies colliding?
