Error Importing .sql from old host onto new

Hello,
I am moving a joomla 1.0 installation from another host to a new one.
I am having error when i import the .sql onto the new host.
"Error
SQL query:

--
-- Table structure for table `jos_banner`
--
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_banner` ;


MySQL said:

#1046 - No database selected "

I am stuck on this, everything else has been done.

Help is greatly appreciated

which database administration software do you use?
i prefer phpmyadmin. there you can select the database and run the sql query for this database.
this should also be possible with other tools.

Sorry for the delay, I have sorted this out.

Instead of exporting from the PHPmyadmin, i used the cPanel's backup and restore system on both the ends and works great. Thank you for the kind reply.
