pointing a domain to a sub directory.

Post by ama991 » Sat Jan 21, 2012 6:16 am

So, I'm very new to this.

here's the problem. the domain is www.allwheels.ca - I installed joomla on allwheels.ca/site2 - when I redirect the domain to point to the allwheels.ca/site2 URL, the site shows without the CSS files and other important things. It looks messed up.

I want to basically move the site2 directory either to the root folder but not sure how, can I just copy the files? Or, do I need to perhaps go into the admin page and enter the proper URL?

PLease help!

for now, I've re-directed allwheels.ca to allwheels.ca/site2 but I'd like to do it properly.

its not html, you need to do proper transfer of the db as well.. or change url in your config.php
