Note that there are several changes that seem to break things. And not all of these things are easy to spot.

I suspect some of my problems (btw I restored my backup to 1.0.12 within 2 minutes of patching) are concerned with my SMF bridge.

I am guessing that there are some important changes in 1.0.13, but I am going to pass them by as I cant take my site down for so long to test it all with the site down.

Instead, I'll have to make a copy of the site, and update all the mods etc. that I am using and see if I can still have a stable site. Not something I am looking forward to.

imho - this is not a 1.0.X but a 1.X.Y : too many changes to 'standard' interfaces.

So, if you like to do updates, great - but make sure you backup EVERYTHING first, so you can set it all back fast in case you get lost halfway thru the patchES  :'(

Hi all,

my upgrade failed too and I had no luck with mentioned fix in http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,200725.0.html.

in my case I was able to login into backend without any problems on both installations. But frontend logins in general didn't work anymore, when logging in with admin user I got the error message about wrong password.
After placing in the mentioned fix, I was no more able to log into backend anymore.

The only solution was a rollback to 1.0.12

Regards,
Stefan

reupload your version 1.0.12 than you MUST change your DB password, because it'  stored in a different way than teh 1.0.12

1.0.12 :  MD5pass
1.0.13 : MD5pass:16char

;)
