I am about to upgrade to 1.0.12 to 1.0.13 and I im guessing need to make all my files writable 777. What is the best way of doing this?

As I understand in secure form folders should be 755 and files need to be 644. What should I change everything to before upgrade and what is the best way of getting everything back to 755 and files need to be 644 after upgrade?

Hope that made sence.

Cheers

Hyperglobal

If you are not using any extensions, whey don't you try the FireFTP add-on for Firefox?

It's a good way to access your site using FTP. Moreover, you can implement batch CHMODing by right click ==> properties (incl cont) ==> check apply to all files or apply to all folders
