Hey,

I have a custom url in the registration part of the modules/mod_login.php file, after reading this I was able to maintain the file that was uploaded for me keeping the fix of my 'Hi, 0' problem and was also able to keep the registration link. :)

I had to go back to the mod_login.php from 1.0.7 though for now because the url that is produced once the person logs out looks like this:
http://www.site.org///od/index.php?opti ... d=75
It has too many /// in the url, and the more I log out, then in, then out, the more ///// show up in the url.

It even happened when I downloaded the zip file from Phil's post above.
So I am going to wait a few days before I retry this fix.

Thank you
Rip

I just want to mention that I did a clean install of The Full Joomla! 1.0.8 and the Login worked fine. Sometime between last night and this morning after installing various coms and mods my login says Hi, 0 when I log in now...

So it looks as if something else may effect this as well? ???

Just noticed someting else on another site I did for a client that I upgraded to 1.0.8:

After the "Hi, 0" fix, I now get logged in, and it shows "Hi, admin" but it doesnt display the Logout button, it just continues to show the login form. If I check the "remember me" check box, it will login properly, but not UNTIL I check that box! Ideas?

Another interesting development, without being logged in to the front end, if I refresh the site, it increases the number of Guests on the site by one for each time I refresh the site. - Maybe some ghosts in ma machine?? Gonna try a reboot and another machine to see if same issues with the same site come up and will post results later.

After clearing IE cache, rebooting system and trying the site again, showed admin as logged in (forgot to log out before reboot), showed login form, and showed 50 Guests and 1 member - admin. Logged in as admin (did not need to check the remember me box this time) and users now showed 1 Guests and 1 member - admin. Logged out, and now shows 2 Guests - Problem Fixed?

Hope so :)

Using Joomla 1.08 with Mambelfish 1.5 (new install) I get fatal error on line 62.

I added after line 49 the code seen in this topic:

http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic ... #msg223887

Now it seems to work fine without problems.

Mamblefish is a totally separate issue as it requires hacking of the core to work correctly
