Hi gang,

I read that 1.0.11 is out, fixing a couple of security issues, and I feel like upgrading.

From a previous update (albeit from Mambo to Joomla), I remember that it was a Real Pain. I was the luckiest man in the world to have made a backup of my files first (scripts And database tables), because the install overwrote everything in a matter of seconds. So, before I go from 1.0.10 to 1.0.11, I want to be sure of a couple of things:
- Will the installation touch my database tables at all? Please say no...
- Will it be possible to keep on using the Safemode=on patch? For me, that one is Really essential: without it, I can't install anything. Please say that this patch will remain operational in 1.0.11?
- Most importantly: is there any way to just install a couple of files, the ones in which the security holes were found and corrected?? I have done a good deal of tweaking (kept track of it, thank god), and I'd hate to just copy oodles of lines to this file and that file unnecessarily. So, is there a list of the files which were "affected" by the security update?

Thanks,

Ludo

1. The press release/announcement has details: http://www.joomla.org/content/view/1843/74/ (Click instructions)

"Upgrading from any version of Joomla! 1.0.x to 1.0.11, simply involves overwriting your current sites files, ..."

2. You'd have to ask the patch author I guess
3. Yes, package is called something like Joomla 1.0.10 to 1.0.11 Stable Patch on the download link
