importing content into new Joomla 2.5 site.

Post by tcjay » Fri Jan 25, 2013 6:46 pm

My website was hacked so I had to switch ISP's. I did upgrade the content to Joomla 2.5 and download it in SQL format so I could import it into a new database on the new ISP.

What I would like to do is import those tables that specifically related to the content. I am not sure which tables to copy or how I should go about it. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA Tom

The table layout is different between Joomla versions. So you cannot use a 1.0 table in 2.5.

You have to go 1.0->1.5->2.5

There is a 1.0->1.5 migrator and for 1.5->2.5 use Jupgrade or SPupgrade. You find them in the JED.
