I've gone from 1.0.10 to 1.0.11 and at the same time my webhost has turned reg_globals to off.

Since then public users to the sight are not able to view content on the site.  It just gives the standard you are not authorized to view.

It a permissions problem and I'm stumped as to where to look for help?

Please take a look and see if you can give me a hint as to what to do next.

Things I've done,
uploaded newest CB, reload all files 1.0.11, sync the users for CB

any just don't know what to do.

Thanks
chris

There is a fix for admin.mambots.php file, this might help.

You can download from Stingrays "Upgrade to 1.0.11" post, just rename the existing file in /administrator/components/com_mambots/ and then upload the new one.

I read about that patch, which isn't the problem that I'm having.  I went ahead a tried it but it doesn't seem to correct the problem with my site.

Let me try to restate it and if you'd like goto http://thecomputer.us and try to read a news article.  It will give you the message you need to login.  But the permissions for all articles is public.

That is where my issue is.

Thanks for the suggestion

I dumped 1.0.11 and just installed the beta 1.5 to play with, my site was performing so bad that it fell of google, so it wasn't much reason to keep it around.  Got 1.5 installed tried the SEO feature and it isn't working with my site.

Anyway I installed a different .htaccess on a site that was having problems and it is working great... I have installed a 3rd party SEF and it is working also.  Check out the pretty good URLS.  http://martydewitt.com Plus had a production site that was having problems with http://www.domain.com not resolving all the time.  Installed the same .htaccess and it fixed it too.

Now both sites are 1.0.10 I won't be going to 1.0.11 anytime soon on either of them.

If you;d like a copy of the .htaccess I can dig up a link to it for you.

Best luck
Chris
