How about a small USB Flash Drive that has Joomla pre-loaded on it? People could plug it into their machine and show their friends the CMS without having to setup a webserver. As Joomla is fairly light as downloads are concerned, we could make the overall size of the flash drive only a few megabytes, cutting the overall cost. This would also work great as a promotional tool when people meet with laptops but don't have internet access. If we could run Joomla on a fully independent flash drive server, that might be a way of introducing new folks to the project. Yes? No?

Greetings all,
Any chance we could take care of the planet and go organic with all the cotton products? As you may know, growing conventional cotton is one of the most toxic agricultural practices we have, since 'green is the new black' that would give you the ultimate in cool! Love your logo, and will make a purchase once they are planet friendly.

See the organic trade association site for more information: http://www.ota.com/organic/mt/organic_cotton.html

Peace,

Andrew

On the mouse pad some options I'd find useful are:

1. Hard laminate plastic, for optical mice.
2. Larger desktop area; 11" x 17". When doing graphic design and also recording application usage (mouse/cursor movements across the screen, button clicks, etc.) for video training production, the larger the better.

I have also seen 'Joomla!-on-a-stick' (pocket flash drive) I don't recall the url, and I'd personally rather buy it here, it would be great for client demos.

Cheers,

Varenne321

I'd second the call for a Lanyard. I'd like one to wear at work to hang my various passes on

I desperately want a polo shirt with a pocket :)

When I was a young lad - polo shirts came with pockets and life was wonderful - pens, glasses and most importantly - PDA could fit into the pocket :)

Then the pockets vanished :(

I've only got 2 shirts left with pockets, and quite frankly, I shouldn't go out in them due to their terrible state :(

The first OS project to start selling polos with pockets is going to get a massive order from me :)

regards

Simon

PS XXXLarge of course :)

I don't know how you manage the merchandise here, but as to more variety, it is preferable to use one of the better specialized merchants out there. The best one to chose would be Zazzle.com ( http://www.zazzle.com ) with a lot of different products to print anything on, even shoes...In my opinion, to use Zazzle would make a much bigger difference as this way people could also add e.g. their names to the products. There you can also sell Joomla! Skateboards, Ties, Aprons, U.S. Postage Stamps, Mousepads, Stickers, Photo Sculptures, Postcards, Calendars, Shoes and Mugs etc..

I know it is also a decision of the revenue possible, so just do what makes it and best supports the cause.

Thanks for your time and a merry christmas to you and yours!

It has been a while since this post has been updated. Any new info on stickers, coffee mugs, etc. being offered at shop.joomla.org?

I wouldn't mind a black project folder with the logo on the front, for client meetings, notes, etc. Not a Filofax as such, just like a clipboard with a cover to hold a notepad, and inside pockets for business cards, etc.

My vote is in for a black hoodie with Joomla logo in sizes up to XXXL. (pullover, not zipperdown).

I'm 6'2" and 275lbs and I hate it when sizes stop at XL or XXL. Also I hate it when XL sizes are for very round people, instead of just big-ass people. But that's not a Joomla problem.
