Hey Guys,
This was a painful way to find a bug... we lost our RSS feed for 2 days right after launching it and lost some readers. Spent much time on the phone with tech support for our servers thinking there was something on thier end. Is this still in the 1.0.5 download?

Surely a serious bug like this one can be announced a little louder than a few threads in the forums.  ???

Is there an RSS feed for bug reports and news of this magnitude?

Regards,
Jeffrey

When you think you found a bug, first look at http://developer.joomla.org/sf/tracker/ ... la/tracker
otherwise search the forums like you did this time...

You can also start here: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,26769.0.html. It doesn't list all problems, but does mention the most obvious ones.

Time permitting, yeah. I did the same with the Joomla 1.0.4 release (that is a few posts under the Joomla 1.0.5 one in the same forum).

I know what you mean with the time issue... same here
Yes I noticed the other thread too. Maybe make them sticky till next release.

They are sticky and locked, I will probably keep three versions in sticky at a time.

Friendly hello , happy new year , cellar full of money and pockets full of beer ...

Sorry to bother you with that question but before the update i searched about a patch for the media manager.
The patch exist but has nothing to do with the bug i have to complain about.
some rumour says that " media manager related problems will be solved in the 1.0.5 release". That way i think that update to 1.0.5 ...

Then i just behold that my media manager troubleshooting have not really been shot...

No matter what i do , i can't solve this :

When i click on an image in media manager , it expand ( that's cool) but no link appear in the "image url link" box ...

Have you any clues about this ?

Sorry to hear that you problem wasn't solved. The other problem hit everybody who was using the media manager. I personally haven't seen your problem before. On both my test site and production site, the links work as it should. Have you tried the same thing with another browser? Do you get the same thing when trying it on the demo site here? http://demo.opensourcecms.com/joomla/administrator/

Thanks ^^

Obviously i was wrong from the beggining to the end ...

i have solved the "bug" ( and it's not joomla related ... )

Recently i have buyed another domain  name for that joomla ( which was previously a subdomain ...)
The only way to fix it is to change the domain name in the joomla configuration  or  to continue loggin by the subdomain url and not by the new domain ...

Sorry to have bothered you with so stupid little thing ^^
Keep on your good work ^^

There is another problem with the new sef.php which causes locked down subfolders with .htaccess passwords (such as administrator) not to be available.

I have opened a ticket for this

http://developer.joomla.org/sf/sfmain/d ... ab=history

I tried replacing with the sef.php posted on this thread to see if it fixed it, but it didn't. The original version from 1.0 works ok though so it looks like to 404 code introduced caused this problem also.

I suggest you upgrade to 1.0.8 anyway.
