I have recenty tried to use a joomla 1.1 instalation kit.
Everything seemed to work fine until I have started to add content.
When I tried to create a menu from a category, this showed up only 2 articles from that category and as for the third one, is was stating "You are not authorized to view this resource"
Funny thing though - when I made out a menu from all the categories, it didn;t show up that nasty message anymore and all articles were showing up just fine...
But we have to admit - this is a beta production and we have to expect from certain errors.
Anyone knows the solution?

What exact version of Joomla! are you using?

Are you using a Joomla! 1.0.x version
or the
Joomla! 1.1.x Alpha



Please note Joomla! 1.0.x is the stable branch of the project.

1.1.x has been renamed 1.5.x and is the development branch of the project and should NOT be used on a live site

Now I'm convinced about that "not to be used on live site"
I was just reporting the bug.
Anyway - good thing it didn't happen later on, I have just started today to work on the site, but now i'm reinstalling and using the verion 1.08

I am running 1.0.11 and am having exactly the same problem. Any pointers>?

I am running 1.0.11 too and i was surprised when I got this error, I had hoped that this issue was a solved case.
Does anyone know how to fix this bug?
