I would love to be able to exclude certain articles or pages from appearing in the Joomla! search results. When I publish a crazy formatted article to appear in a module, I don't want users to run a search and then pull up that article which is not supposed to be seen outside of the module it is published in. Specifically I am publishing things in the YOOCarousel which is a module from YOOTheme and I can use a custom module as an alternative.

There's one extended search mambot that has option for you to allow certain section/category to be search.

It's easy to use, just install unpublished the built-in search content mambot and enable this extended search mambot.
