Marketing & Media

Post by mediamagnate » Thu Dec 28, 2006 10:01 pm

Welcome to the Marketing and Media Workgroup part of the forum.

This is a place to share and help action your ideas about how to advocate Joomla! to the Joomlasphere and beyond.

More specifically, we are not only seeking people with professional backgrounds in marketing, media and PR — you may well have a cracking good idea which can be developed to help make 2007 a special J! year.

Looking forward to hearing from the wealth of brilliant minds who use the Joomla! framework.

Pete

"we are not seeking people with professional backgrounds in marketing, media and PR"

Just curious, why not? If they are offering their professional experience to the project for free.

Joomla! may be very well known but it is mostly well know in a pretty fixed circle.
I read a lot of blogs, news sites, professional sites about web development, design etc and nowhere is ever talked about Joomla! while I often come across posts about Drupal, Word Press and other OS projects.

Calling out for professional Marketing and PR people may get Joomla! into different markets and outside that circle using their experience and network, I think this would only be a positive thing.

Is this thread alive?
It all started with mother mambo, then the birth of the children, joomla, elxis and Aliro. The mambo family continues to grow. A knife in the back is better than a fork.
