M&M forum no more?
I see this forum has been renamed to foundation.
I'm not sure I understand why as events is still separate and it is part of the foundation WG

Re: M&M forum no more?
Hey Brian,
THe restructuring of the foundation forums is a WIP. In this first stage we wanted to have somewhere representative of the WG rather than the teams. As we go forward those teams for whom there are a large number of popsts may get their own forum.
Also... this way we have three sets of team members all checking the forum so items are less likely to go unanswered. At the very least team members will hopefully be able to alert one another when something of importance is posted.
Cheers

Re: M&M forum no more?
Hey Brian...
That may happen but it would at this stage defeat the purpose of combining them. I will be asking Brad to add a proper desciption so that people looking down the forum list can see what this one is for as I admit its not self explanatory.
Now that the Foundation WG is set up we will be working on internal structure and who does what etc... until thats sorted I would prefer to keep just one forum that everyone involved can subscribe to and be aware of.
When the teams grow and become more active, that will be when we look at seperating the forums. At this stage it would do nothing more that increase the number of places we need to check, which along with email accounts, other forums, wiki's,and a couple of other resources we use would mean we spend 90% of each day looking for information that we have no idea exists rather than acting upon it.
Just need a bit of time to get things rolling
Cheers

Events are already active Brian. No they shouldn't be merged.

Re: M&M forum no more?
You see thats why I am confused about the change of forum name to Foundation. Events Team is part of the Foundation Working Group

Brain as Shayne said:
The Events forum has been open for a long time, is very active and there is a lot of information already contained there, to move it would be confusing. When the teams grow and become more active, that will be when we look at separating the forums.

The same argument could be used for the M&M forum

*sigh* Honestly, aren't we just going around in circles. Changes have been made, for reasons that perhaps only the future will make clear.
