Some people hate em, but I love statistics.

Looking to the top of the forum we can see another milestone soon to happen.

Sometime in the next 24 hours we should hit 90,000 forum members

at 10:10 GMT 20 feb there are 89,817 Members

and with Average registrations per day: 172.4

If you are online when it happens can you take a snapshot.

Brian, are there any stats for how many posts are being answered on a historical basis? By this I mean that I seem to find far more unanswered posts going back to the start of this forum in 2005 whereas now I feel there are less unanswered posts.

I could be wrong but i just wondered if there were any numbers/figures to back this up either way?

There are no such statistics for posts answered, though they would be nice. When Joomla started, the team was pretty small compared to now. In the beginning, the project grew really fast. The number of threads being more the people helping in the community could answer. Over time, some very good people started answering questions by the dozen. Especially since a lot of questions had been answered before, and a group of people knew those out of the top of their head. Lately we also had less patches on the 1.0.x series, which means that 'peak times' are not there as often any more.

Tonie, good answer, I can totally see that. Would you expect another 'peak time' at the release of 1.5?

True. We have published 38 new listings since JoomLeague...so a few had to go last week.

At all times we try to keep the ressource as clean as possible, and should there be any issue with an extension, the website of the extension, security matter, or ...., then we will unpublish the extension until issue solved.
Thats why the count now and then goes backwards  ;)

Some people open an account for Joomla, but never register it when they receive their email. These are not counted as active users. Second, deleted accounts also do not count against the active member number.
