What happen to the joomla news

Post by bobthebob01 » Wed Jun 27, 2007 5:33 pm

i remember a time when i used to drink my morning coffee reading tons of Joomla! news. It was actually more interesting than watching the depressing and repetitive CNN or BBC news in the morning.

Instead of how many people died or how many millions the politicians put in their pocket or the amazing excuses/stories that the corporate/political world is giving to make the people feel better: by the way, do we really look that stupid?

Well...it was much better reading about the new component, joomla! development, looking at what other people do with joomla! etc...

What happen to those days?
Am i the only one missing that?  it seems that there is much less news for the past few months. No?

For the sake of sanity , bring us back the news....i am tired to start my day with our world news.

Really ??? Strange that the forum says this

"If you have any 'mechanical' forum or Joomla! sites related issues/suggestions, please contact the Sites & Infrastructure Workgroup here."

Never mind - i'll shut up now.

News isn't mechanical Phil.  We are actually humans that take care of it.  Unfortunately time hasn't been kind to me over the last week.

We all volunteer Phil.

Julien -

Nice to see you in the forums, again! :)

There is a thread here in the Foundation forum called Joomla! in the News. Everyone is encouraged to post Joomla! media coverage when we find it.

Take care,
Amy :)

Amy: nice to see you too  8)

thanks MMMedia for moving th thread.

But still i want to know why my joomla! toolbar does not show  as much  "unread" article because none are coming anymore.

ok, i get it, i'll just wait quietly and start watching CNN and BBC in the morning to start my day.

BTW, have you ever wonder why stat shows that people are more afraid/depressed/unhappy/unsecured: well......one of the major player: watch the news every morning  :'(

And since we are in the "Joomla! sites related issues/suggestions"; did you realize that Joomla! logo on the home page: http://www.joomla.org showing in the article "Open source does matter..." dated 15 june  2007 is actually not respecting your branding manual.
Some one spent time to create the logo and make the manual to make sure it does not happen  :P ; it just take a bit of padding all around....

i don't mean to bug anybody, i am just making an observation

ok maybe it's time for me to do like Phil and shut up now

cheers

Publishing of news has slowed down because the people who Volunteer to publish it have been busy with other Joomla! matters that are currently taking precedence.  It will resume as normal in the near future, I assure you.
ok, i get it, i'll just wait quietly and start watching CNN and BBC in the morning to start my day.
I also recommend the CBC :)

Thanks for your patience.

I need to start looking at the Canadian news.  ;)

Also, Julien, I wanted to make certain you are aware of the Core Team Blog. These blogs provide a great deal of information on a regular basis about the Joomla! project. There is a sign up on that page to have the blogs emailed via FeedBurner, too.

We are going to have to give our volunteers a raise.  ;)  I say 100% increase in pay for each of them!  8)
