be aware.  this component (unfortunately) poses a security risk to your site.
With the currently available release, it is possible for hackers to gain access and corrupt your site.

(see the security list of vulnerable components)

Where is this security list and is there a fix?

Security list

You really should read the Security board here on a regular basis...

I just tried to install the 1.3.1 component and got the error:

Quote:
ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package.

Is there a fix for this?  It looks like just the sort of thing I'm looking for.

???

The error you get is because you have to unpack the component first (it's a zip in a zip).

BTW, is there any further module development?
The latest versions are already from some time ago, and my opinion is that there is some development to do.

This was not the same as Rapid Recipe: This one was called PCCOOKBOOK (also Prince Clan Cookbook)

be aware: v1.3.1 is susceptible to the security problem that many joomla components had last year...

If you use google you can find this component.
One place is:
http://www.onestopjoomla.com/component/ ... fo/id,148/

But remember, this files are from 2005 so they still have the last year security risk.
Maybee it is posssible to get some programmers take up this component and update it??

for those of you wanting to get this component I suppose you'll just have to buy it, because they've renamed it "Rapid Recipe" and made it a pay joomla component.  I hope this helps anyone who spent lots of time trying to figure out how/where to get this component for those who don't believe me, i found this link (which is where all the mods/coms where hosted at

http://www.dianthos.net/index.php?optio ... &Itemid=30

I decided to go with gary's cookbook, and it works pretty well, I did have to update some of the code because I was having bugs, and I also had to add a userID  to the recipe table in mysql so I could allow the people that uploaded a recipe to edit the ones that belonged to them (the way it is if you just dl it and install editors and above have to edit all recipes).  I also had to edit the code to allow auto approve for registered users.

Again, if you're looking for pccookbook it is now called rapid recipe and is pay,  if you are looking for a decent free recipe organizer use gary's cookbook and just edit it a little to fit your needs

just to clarify, rapidRecipe is a different component from the one that is being discussed in this thread. The author of the recipe component here has dropped off the face of the planet, unfortunately.
