I just installed Event Calendar 1.2 and when I try to access it from the menu I get the following error:
Quote:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare clone() (previously declared in /home/ferrer/public_html/includes/compat.php50x.php(9) : eval()'d code:1) in /home/ferrer/public_html/components/com_events/events.php(545) : eval()'d code on line 2

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Hi, Backtrac!
Yep... there is a fix for this mentioned in a previous post. It's to do with the php4/5 hack entered into events.php around the line mentioned. If you delete the section from the document, you should be good to go. I've misplaced the forum link, but if you do a search for "cannot redeclare clone" you should find it straight away!
HTH,
John Mc

My problem is that I can install the Events component fine - as well as list a category and event.  But when I try to publish a link to this component on a menu - or even allow a user to click through the module to view the event description - the page is blank.  I figure there's a problem w/ the events.php file or something similar - but I have no idea what.  I tried deleting the above PHP5 reference (my server isn't running 5) - but it didn't help.
