Seems there is no project management component for Joomla(?) Or bridge to other progrmas? At least I haven't found any?

Can you recommend any GPL online project management applications?

Hi SHazard,

What kind of projects would that be? Programming projects or are you looking a CRM?

Programming/Scripting Projects: com_flyspray, xprogramming (alpha/beta)

Thanks for the quick answer.

..err.. what CRM means? My native tongue isn't english so I'm not familiar with that abbreviation. :)

Advertising- and webdesign and stuff around that.. It would be good if clients have ability to log in and follow progress of project.
Flyspray might actually suit for my needs.. have to read more about it. Anybody used it with Joomla?

..didn't find anything about xprogramming.

There is also a small progress module out there that is pretty handy too.  :)

CRM - Customer/Client Relation Management (system)

com_flyspray on joomla? I've tested it and I can't recall any problem with the component.

Progress Module? module is a module, this is not something that would have a login for users/client but this can be a quick way to give your client a simple percentage graph of a certain project you're handling. I'm using this one to show my site's user the development/progress of the site. It's pretty simple - you can see a live use of this module at http://www.caizine.com

There's also CiviCRM 1.2 which is being integrated/suited for compatibility with Joomla. The team is working on the front-end/user interface of the component. CiviCRM is suited for Non-profit Organization. You can check the project announcement at http://www.openngo.org/

Or you can try to work out the SugarCRM bridge/modules to work with Joomla. (I have not tested the system)

In case anyone is still interested, you might want to try
http://taskhopper.com

It's not full-scale project management, but take a look.

Hi,
I see that there is a new category at extensions.joomla.org named Project & Task Management.
Take a look at http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... Itemid,35/

I hope this helps.

Best regards
Marcin Kierdelewicz

Anyone tried the Hydra ( now Projectfork ) AND Flyspry??

Which one is the better? I am looking for the best PM component. What are the advantages/disadvantages with these 2?

And does anyone have any other "solutions"??

Thanks!

I'm looking at project management components, too, and I'm not finding anything that does exactly what I want it to. I am working with groups that are trying to coordinate service projects - so a lot of the bug-tracker / CRM / software development stuff doesn't quite seem to work.

In particular, I would love to have a graphic representation of the big picture of the project - a Pert Chart would be ideal, and some forum / discussion board feature for people to talk about project issues.

I am actually experimenting with with an LMS (learning management system) component right now to see if I can jerry-rig is to do what I want, but I would love to if anyone else as discovered a good group collaboration / graphic PM system.

Does anyone know of a Pert Chart option for Joomla or something like mind-mapping would probably also work?

By the way, Project Fork doesn't have any real functionality right now.
