It would be nice if this could be converted into a Blogging component. Mamblog seems to be dead or rarely updated. JA submit if modified could easily replace Mamblog and use Joomla's core features too. Here is my idea. Does anyone think this is feasible? Modify JA Submit and registration so that when a new user registers with the site, a new category is created in a pre-determined "Blog" section based on the users registered username. So you would have Section (blog) -> Category (users username) Then they would only be allowed to publish to thier usernamed category or designated categories of JA Submit. Better yet, let them decide and enter what that category name could be at the time of registration. Benefits. 1. A simple blog system that uses Joomla natively. 2. If setting up a community site and you throw in Community Builder and OpenSEF you can have people run thier own personal blogs with URLS that can follow the http://www.yoursite.com/username/ format or even work it into subdomains username.yoursite.com You would no longer have to deal with the funky crappy URLS of index.php?option=com_mamblog etc etc... |

I have a big problem. I have downloaded and installed JA_submit (my site is http://www.karakolithos.gr) component. The problem is that it is working with Mozilla Firefox but it is not working with Internet Explorer. Any idea why is this? |

Hello Erik Thank you for your time trying to check my problem. Users which wants to subscribe in the site must activate their account by email. The minor problem is that the auto email for account confirmation is arriving with a little delay. I am sorry that the site is in Greek language. I understand that most of you cannot really test it good. Yesterday i had an email from JoomlArt.com Admin saying that with his IE 6.0 the site working fine. In my case is not working. I have to say that in other sites the same component is working fine. |

As far as I understand, JA_Submit should Auto Approve my news, right? |

Thank you Aris I have created a temporary account for my site. If anybody want to help me and test the fuctionality of JA_submit with IE, can use username:temp password:testit to register. You have to use the "Αρθρο Χρηστών" option in menu in order to use the JA_Submit component. Thank you all in advance @Erik: In my case JA_Submit works "ok" with Auto Approved as far as i had set all parameters right. Are you sure that you haven't chosen the "none" option in the "Groups users Auto Approve"? I did this mistake the first time

I did this mistake the first time ![]() I've set the 'Groups users Auto Approve' to Super Admin and it is not auto appoved. I guess it has nothing to do with the 'Categories Auto Approve' which is set to 'none'? Another problem is Uploading Images! An imaginename with capital letters in it is saved without capital letters in the directory. In the post it is asked with capital letters, so the imagine is NOT shown in the message. |

I have a question: Is it possible to "turn off" sections I don't need? To clarify a bit, all I need is a way for users to submit an "image of the day". I do not need the name and email fields or the intro and main text boxes. All I really need is the title field and one image upload field. If I can't, well...is there any component that can do that? Thanks. |

If the other editors work, but you still want to use Tmedit, try this: Go to your template index.php and move the initEditor part above the tag. |

Hello All, It seems JA Submit just works when you set the user as author. If you set user default as registered, JA Submit just wont work. Any thoughts? Tnpa |

A forum and a blog module really should be shipped with the product, IMO. |

Hello Pastor_rob, Did you download and install MosCE 1.0.3 final (FCK_editor..) using installer and then chose mambots? If not, do so. If it is successful, go to Mambots, pull menu down, you willl see MosCE, just publish it. Then go to Global Administration, pull it down, and chose MosCE final. God Bless, Tnpa |

| Post subject: | Re: JA Submit - Content Submission Component by JoomlArt.com |
This is a different No Image" problem (also sorry for double post) JA Submit 2.1 Joomla 1.0.7. It appears that images don't upload, because they don't display, but when I check in the site files the images are in fact there, and GD has reduced their size if necessary. On investigating further, I find: 1. The image file names have been changed from mixed case to all lower case. I don't think this is the cause of the problem because of number 2 below. 2. If I open the item for editing in the front end with the usual editor and look at the images tab, the image uploaded by JA Submit is one of the items, but is listed below another entry which is null i.e. it references the "users" directory but has no file name. If these items are reversed by using the "UP" button and saved then the image comes into view in he article. Have I missed a step somewhere? |
