Backend Side: Categorization In The Menus

Post by aerostrato » Mon Jun 23, 2008 2:53 pm

Hello,

I'm a newbye here and after having used my first installation of joomla 1.5 from the backend and frontend side I realized there is a big conceptual issue in the menu organization (in the backend side). There is not a clear way to distinguish besides the menu belonging to the administrator role and the ones pertaining to front end/website and/or pubblishing features.
It is necessary to immediately (with a graphic or simple way) understand what items and menu items are related to modify or personalize the backend side and the other.

Bye.

I could use some help in this area, too!

Is there a graphical tree somewhere that I could look at for ideas? Something that breaks it down and explains what goes into what (i.e. an article is the smallest bit, which goes into the section, which then goes into the category, which then goes into menus)? But in a graphic format.
