APress book

Post by bpsullivan » Fri Jul 28, 2006 10:35 pm

"The Definitive Guide to Joomla" by Mitch Pirtle had a publication date of August 7th 2006.  Yet it has been removed from Amazon's listings and it's no longer listed on the publisher's website at apress.com.  Is this project dead?  I was looking forward to getting that book; I've been trying to slog it out with the German translation book and finding it very difficult to build my skills with that.

I don't have an answer to this.  I'll see if I can find it.

I'm trying to relaunch the book, as we've made just a couple changes since that book was started. ;)

Ok, actually I've rewritten the first four chapters more than I want to admit, and of course we had to change the title too - so this book has gone through several doomed iterations LOL

Now that 1.5 is really 1.5 and knocking on the door, the book has a chance of getting done. I will update here when the new schedule is finalized.

Thanks for the update!  I wasn't actually expecting a reply from the author!
