The mambot installation directions on

http://help.joomla.org/content/view/150/153/

say to upload your mambot to

joomla_root/administrator/mambot/com_installer/mambot/yourmambotname

but there is no administrator/mambot directory.  I added it to

joomla_root/administrator/components/com_installer/mambot/yourcomponentname

and it seemed to install just fine

You are absolutely correct that is a typo and should read as per your example. I will amend the screen. Thanks for taking the time to let us know.

There's also a similar typo for installing modules.

That's what comes from striving to keep the text consistent across similar function, you can get too comfortable with copy and paste!
