Try changing the folder permission of /cache directory to be writable for everyone (777), including all your xml files in the same directory.

I'm not allowed to change the mp3playlist.xml

550 Could not change perms on mp3playlist.xml: Bad file descriptor

Oops! you better check this thread: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,51041.0.html and then contact your host to change the ownership of the folder and files.

actually I think u have fixed bcuz it work for me...
just to let u know the autor of that componet is the same person who has build the mp3 player and so other cool scripts with the new version of hes mp3 player which is Mp3 player 2.3 I think I have build a module which work almost the same as the component with the diference that u don't have to indicate any URL for each mp3 file, all u have to do is indicate the folder where ur mp3 file may be and thats it...
