Ok I've got the component and module installed

Where the image should be I get ....
Joomlalib is a required component and must be installed before using Gallery 2 Bridge, you can find JoomlaLib here.

The link sends me to http://trac.4theweb.nl/joomlalib/

That's fine but what do I download given the number of links to content on that page?
What do I "do" with what I download?

Very vague. ???

Been digging here
http://trac.4theweb.nl/g2bridge/wiki/Install
and here
http://www.gallery-addons.com/Gallery-A ... _Gallery2/

Still no luck ...

I have the component and module installed. I cannot access the component because of the error

Joomlalib is a required component and must be installed before using Gallery 2 Bridge, you can find JoomlaLib here.

No where can I find why I'm getting this error or how to fix it.

Hey mate,

It can be a bit confusing. You need to download the latest JoomlaLib 1.3.1 (stable) from:

http://forge.joomla.org/sf/frs/do/listR ... .component

And then install it as a component (you don't need to configure anything, it will just work).

regards,

HawkeR

I actually found it in their forum after googling 'download joomlalib' - first link. Guy had the same problem, and the admin directed him there.

Your Google is different from mine

Given that the tell you to download it in the Extesnsions description they could at least point ppl in the right direction at all the places that support the solution

Takes all sorts I spose.

Hi, it works for me think you!

But I'm facing a new issue now.....

I do not have any success with setting the gallery path
I tried both the wizard and the manual setting and none of them works for me
What that concerned me and make my life hard.... that I didn't
receive any error or warning message thus I can figure out where is my problem

The path that I use:
Gallery 2 Path: /home/shpanier/my.domain.net/gallery/
Gallery 2 Url:  http://www.my.domain.net/gallery/

Can anyone point me to (A) A log file or (B) A place that I'll be able to verify
my setting.

Best regards,
thank you for the great to software!
Assaf

I had the same issue, it's really weird, what I did was save it (forcing it to close) - and then went back over the wizard again (twice) and it finally come up with the correct information. I also suggest making sure your path is absolute, so if your link is

http://www.my.domain.net/gallery/

make it

http://www.my.domain.net/gallery/main.php

hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Since I'm building a beta site I protected it with Htaccess.
When I remove those the Htaccess settings.... I was able
to proceed to the next step in the wizard which suggests
the paths for the gallery URL & server_path.
I press the save button and....I got the first setting screen again.
Is there other steps in the wizard which I didn't go through ?

Did you install any Mambot ? because I didn't.

thanks

Assaf

Hi,

the wizard does not work with all server/webspace configurations.
Make sure that the Gallery 2 Path ends with "embed.php", for example: /home/web/public_html/gallery2/embed.php

Kai

hi ,

I am having some problem with my gallery and avtars.

I have uploaded new avtars in the directory and they are around 145 but the problem is when users register and update thier profile and have to choose one of the avtar the avtars are of really big size and not thumbnails.. this screws up the entire template as 145 avtars of 300x600 size show up to be selected!

how do i reduce the size and get them back to the thumbnails size??

thanx

I was able to successfully install joomlalib and gallery2 bridge. In the main menu I created a link to the gallery 2 component which links me to the gallery.

However, when I click on an album to view the pictures inside, NOTHING happens. No error messages and I am NOT able  to view the photos.

Please help.

website is http://nadelaclan.e-davao.com. Link to Gallery 2 is the Photo Gallery

BTW, if I installl the components I get these errors:

Gallery 2 album block
An error occurred while retrieving ImageBlock
Error (ERROR_CONFIGURATION_REQUIRED)

    * in modules/core/classes/GalleryEmbed.class at line 827 (GalleryCoreApi::error)

I got it done partially. The solution for the above problem is to install "Image Block" in the Gallery2' plugins.

I have the "Gallery 2 album block" (in green) activated in my Joomla & able to browse it without error. But the images are not displayed. I have to spend some times to check again!
