Fellas,

Is there a module out there in extension land that displays the article title and a link to the article by one of the following methods?
    A random article link (also shows header) appears on page load
[list=]the article header and link is displayed as a slideshow (scrolls horizontally)[/list]
[list=]any other cool method that you might know about[/list]

The objective is to give the user a cool way to access the articles other than getting to them via the navigation. I'm also assuming that one of the parameters for this module is to only display articlesof one section.

Yes there is, have a look on joomla extensions. Look for 'random'.
