Okay, I feel stupid

I registered a project with a name that was not the correct name for the project.

Can I change the name or should I just reregister it under the new name?

A project name can't be changed. Reason for this is that when you register a project, the name is used in multiple locations (both on file system and database). Registering a new project is the way to go. When you did this, can you reply with the old name in this thread so we can remove this project?

There is a very easy way to change the project name.
a) install joomlapack.
b) make a backup
c) delete the installation.
d) add a new mysql database
e) use kickstart to reinstall the project
f) set the project name etc etc

This is about projects in joomlacode (joomlacode.org), not about a Joomla website.

Hi I want to delete my project in joomlacom.org can you explain me the procedure. In fact I add my project with a wrong name.

Or can you give me a exact link ?
