Yes. Use either the free "Riva FLV Encoder" (google it) or Adobe's Flash Pro to convert your videos properly to FLV.  ;)

Sorry I didn't have time to read all 13 pages of this thread. So did the FLV playback in IE ever get fixed?
Also what if my videos are .swf?  Thanks.

The only solution I can think of is that you put the mambot that add the php code in a "higher" position than the AllVideos.
I did not mean, changing the tag order!!

I meant, go to the backend, open the list with the mambots and REORDER there, so that the "add php" mambot has a "higher" order number that the allvideos!! 2 is higher than 5, OK?

Did you understand what I'm talking about? This order defines the activation order of the mambots inside your site. If "add php" has a higher order it will be activated first, return the id, and then the allvideos would be activated, returning the video code...
Hi i have installed Joomla 1.0.13 and AllVideosplugin 2.4, as guy from post above all I get in content is {mp3}filename{/mp3}.I'm sure that bot is published, but I don't have "addphp" in my mambots list,so I reorder my mambots so AllVideo is in 10th position, but it didn't solve my problem.
Also I created 2 folders in images/stories one is "audio" ,second is "videos".
Did I miss something to do properly?
Please help.
Thanx in advance.

One more thing, where can I find older versions of AllVideosPlugin? Maybe it will work with my website.

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help with a problem I'm having using this plugin. It works fine when I use it to embed a single [youtube] video on my site but when I try and use it with a compilation [youtube] video, it won't work.

If you click on the code below, it should take you to a [youtube] video on hypnobirthing but when I use the same code with the plugin, it just won't play.

Hi. I read many replies here about the issue that AllVideo sometimes works fine in Firefox, but not in Internet Explorer. With my brandnew joomla installation I experience the same problem. Though I found out that it's appearently the extension MXComment that causes the troubles.

In other words, if I deinstall MXComment, All Video works in both browsers fine. But at the moment I have MXComment installed, Internet Explore doesn't load the player anymore.

Well, I couldn't find out why that happens. I thought perhaps another user had to deal with the same issue and found a solution. :)

AllVideos Plugin SHOWS UP AS REGULAR MOVIE!

Hey Guys,

Just a question in regards to the All Vids plugin - the video is streaming, however it is not playing in a flash type format (so the auto start cannot be disabled) It seems to show up just like any regular video would online!

Here is a link - http://footmilk.com/index.php?option=co ... e&Itemid=1

Any idea what the problem could be??

Thanks,

-Anton :)

Has anyone experienced the plugin not working all of sudden?

If so what did you do to fix it?

And the most important, what could it be?

I hate to sound like a complete idiot but I'm using the following:
Joomla: 1.5.11
AllVideos: v2.5.4_j1.5

I installed the plugin without a problem but the AVP button that everyone seems to be using is not present for me. What am I missing? I have it enabled. i see where some have suggested publishing it but my assumption is that publishing in the old joomla version is the same as enabling in the newer version??

When I edit or create a new article, I have three buttons at the bottom of the screen: Image, Page Break, Read More but no AVP.

I've searched the oracle (google) and this forum over and over but no cigar.

Any suggestions?
Thanks for helping a noob!

Are you using AVR or the original AllVideos? AVR is here:

http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/allvideos15/frs/

I think the other has an optional plugin that can add an editor button too.... but the AVR link is above and should come with a couple plugins including a button one....

Help please, using AVR, embedded .mov won't play

Hello,

I can't seem to figure out what is going wrong! I was using the last version of AllVideos and that failed to work, so I switched to AVR in the hopes that it would fix it. No such luck. My problem is that I have inserted a .mov file into an article and when I preview it, the file only shows as the Quicktime logo w/ a question mark (won't play). Here is what I have done so far:

(using Joomla! v1.5)
-Properly installed AVR & enabled it
-added the videos folder to my Media Manager
-properly uploaded my .mov file after adding mov & MOV to my Global Configuration legal extensions
-used the AVR media button to insert the {mov} file from Local Media
-did an Apply and Save before previewing said article

I know that my .mov file works just fine, as it is currently being used on another site. I really do not know what else I can do. Can anyone tell me what I am missing/not doing and/or doing wrong?

Thank you for any help. I really appreciate it!

~Roxy

I'm having the same problem as above. Although with a mpg.

Everything seems to be going according to plan. But it won't play the file. Just shows a Quicktime logo.

But I have a bandwidth monitor and when I go to the section on my site with the video, it's definitely downloading the video. But won't play it.

I had a streamed movie from vimeo working fine.

It's just this local .mpg file that won't play for some reason.

Any help?
