Hi All,
I have just installed Joomlaworks Simple Image Gallery Plugin. Works great right out of the box except for one error as follows.

Notice: Undefined index: in c:\documents and settings\hp_administrator\www\test\mambots\content\plugin_jw_sig.php on line 59

Notice: Undefined offset: 7 in c:\documents and settings\hp_administrator\www\test\mambots\content\plugin_jw_sig.php on line 59

I don't see any support for this product. Anyone have this issue or know where to go for support? I would really like to use it but on hold with errors..........................................

Question 2 - When an odd number display - say 5 - there is a gap in the lower left corner. How would one move the "hole" to the right?

Working locally..not yet live.

Have any thoughts on what the problem could be?

The Homepage is listed on the extension site, and as you can see, the dev answers real quickly :)
Have added to my "favorite mambots" listing part II, thanks

One thing (which I've added to review): PNG pictures come out very bad! Maybe add a warning for users to prefer gif & jpg..

Great bot!

I too installed this today, after i figured out that you use a mambot installer to install a plugin .

I really like what I see in fire fox but in IE explorer the page is sometimes aborted and othertimes has a long delay, aditionally the shaded background only appears as a thin line at the top of the browser

does anyone else experience delays or errors in IE explorer when opening the page?

OK, let's wrap up a few things!

First of all, if I don't see the problems caused (=reproduced) I cannot give clear answers.

Secondly, the plugin uses the Mootools javascript library which conflicts with any other "similar" libraries, like JQuery. In version 1.1 of the plugin we decided to go the JQuery way for various reasons.

@Eyezberg
Thanks for the tip. I actually hadn't noticed the errors on PNG images, beacuse -now I realize it- I didn't have any included in my testing site. I'll see if I can fix the code that dynamically generates the thumbnails for PNG images.

@artmyth
IE does not encounter any problems, unless you have javascript conflicts I guess -rare, but happens. Try not to include 100 images per content item!! Think of it as a matter of usability! Your users do not need to see 100 images! The need to say "some" images related to your article! So stick to 20 images maximum, for better performance of your site.

ah yes, no link, sorry i pm'd you one so you can view it in ie explorer to see what i mean, judging from the magic you can do with code i figured you could read my mind too  ;)

as far as I know there are no other javascripts, (ahh there is a script for the menu) and I am testing this with 3 - 6 images per page.

IT is absolutely amazing in firefox, fast clean neat cool

but in ie  when you click on an image it pops up with no shaded background, then seems to pause for 30 seconds or more then image appears.

if you scroll down and click on an image it opens hidden at the top of the browser

one more...  the close button doesnt appear on the popped up image in IE explorer - unless you hover over it.

This is interesting, I had a menu item in my joomla trash, which i just got rid of, and the images load slighly faster now (not by much but ever so slighly)

It's your template!!!

You don't need this in the top of your template!!

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>

This sends IE in "quirks" mode, which means that IE misbehaves!! Delete it, it doesn't do anything!

Both Simple Image Gallery and AllVideos work great in IE and FF. However, when using both mambots at the same time, Allvideos breaks in IE.  It only displays a blank space without the video.

Is there a way to get both mambots work in IE?

Please see http://www.greenobserver.com/
Both images and video display find in Firefox. However, the video does not display in IE (v6 and v7).

It's clearly a template issue.

Can you please try adding this to your template:

Code:
.allvideos {position:relative;z-index:9999;}

Do this fix the issue?

Unfortunately the code did not fix the problem.
I changed the template to Joomla's  rhuk_solarflare_ii, but the problem persists.

Yes.  If I remove the Image Gallery from the content page, the video displays correctly in IE.

I find this very strange. I'll need to check it more thoroughly. OK?

Upon additional testing, I discovered the following:

1. The problem only occurs, when displaying a local video file.  For example displaying a google video will not cause a problem in IE.

2. If I move the image gallery before the video, then the video will display correctly in IE.  The problem occurs only when {flv} tag is before the {gallery} tag.

I have 9 simple gallery pages each of which has different no of pictures. Images appear without any problems but with an error message on top of each page. Please see the attachment.
Error message changes for every page depending on the no of images that each page has.
For example, if there are 9 images in a gallery it is

Notice: Undefined offset: 9 in /mysite/mambots/content/plugin_jw_sig.php on line 59

What is not changing is "in /mysite/mambots/content/plugin_jw_sig.php on line 59"

Although you say it is a Joomla issue I think there should be a problem with the line 59.

Hi, on my website
http://www.syaoran.it
everything works fine with Firefox!
I have a problem with IE (upgraded to 7, don't know if it's the issue), since when I try to open the page
it slows down when it comes to open the module with AJAX, then it shows an Error message: "Impossible to open the page".
Odd thing, if I go back and try to open the page again, it shows correctly.
What's the matterh?
I have got this in my template

Could it be possibly the case?

I installed the plugin and it works great except one issue.......

when I click on an image being displayed, the page gets dark and the full size image appears..... but when I click on the "CLOSE" link in the bottom right of the full size image, it won't.

I am using the ijoomla magazine component in my site.  This problem is occuring in both firefox and IE and I don't think this is a template issue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike
