Moved to correct forum.

How is it that everybody installs JCE OK and you can't?

Instructions are pretty clear on Ryan's site.

1. Choose the 1.0.4 version (1,1 is beta) and download all parts as you need.
2. Install component first-> Installer/component
3. Install Mambot -> Installer/mambots
4. Install plug-ins from the menu Components/JCE/Plug-ins

Set the parameters in the mambot.

I am too trying to figure out how to install this plugin. I did a forum search for "install joomlafck" and came up with this thread as the only one in the results with both words in it. I am trying Joomla! again after quite a while and once again am running into walls. (The TinyMCE Editor is seriously defective so I thought I would try a different one)

So, to reply to your post I say this to you, a mod, someone who should be helpful instead of being a jerk.  All that is on the download link is a zipped file containing the app. I have never installed a plugin before but it doesn't look like there is the option to do that in the Installers menu in Joomla!.

Care to actually help this time?

Who is the jerk here?

Concerning JCE, you can find all documentation on the developer's site http://www.cellardoor.za.net/ , including a forum.
