Joomla and Phonegap

This is my first question, hope someone can help me.

I have created a phonegap app and would like to connect it to my joomla login module. I will be working with a lot of users and joomla makes it much easier to control your users.

Would it be possible to connect your phonegap app to your joomla database.

Well, a lot of time has passed since your post and I am sorry to notice that no-one responded with a suggested solution. I am just wondering if you managed to find a solution to your problem because I have it too.
