Re: How i insert google map HTML code
Why not using one of those many plugins?

Re: How i insert google map HTML code
I don't understand why an extension is needed for this. Is there a way to modify the HTML to make it work?

Re: How i insert google map HTML code
I agree that you really need to have a plugin/addon apply to your site to handle that function.
Pugins and addons are very good. These makes our life easier.
Go ahead and try one

Re: How i insert google map HTML code
Y'all are right. I downloaded Plugin Googlemaps, and it does everything I need it to, including putting a Google Map into an article, and there is a lot of documentation that explains how to do all the cool, complicated stuff Google Maps can do! So it seems using an extension really is the only answer here.

HOLD THE PHONE EVERYBODY! The real answer to this question:
You want to look up a location on Google Maps, select the "Paste HTML to embed in website" code that Google Maps provides, and paste that into an article and have the map just pop up, just like that, right? OK!
- In the back end of your website, go to Extensions > Plugin Manager, and open up your Editor (Joomla!'s default is Editor - TinyMCE 2.0).
- In the Plugin Parameters section on the right, Select "Off" for "Code Cleanup on Startup" and "Never" for "Code cleanup on save."
- Save, open up an article or create a new one, open the HTML window, paste your Google Map data, and Update.
The map will appear , even in the back end!

As with every solution: there are several ways to reach the target.
You can travel from Vienna (AT) to San Fransisco (USA) by an airplane (will need approx. 8 hours) or by a ship (will need approx. 2 months) ....

Re: How i insert google map HTML code
Hi All, answer above is correct but a slight change. I have Joomla 4.2.
Instead of turning OFF the parameters, yo have to remove the word "iframe" in the "Prohibited Elements" section in the Editor - TinyMCE plugin.
Thats all, then you can paste any iframe in your module and it will work.
