I'm trying to get a hang of Joomla, just trying to figure out the basics.

I've read a few tutorials (unfortunately, I'm more confused now more than ever). I'm trying to breakdown a basic website: Sections, Categories and Articles... as I've seen done a few times before. But, I want each section and each category to have it's own page. Is it OK to put HTML in a category description or section description so that it displays like its own HTML page or should I just set up an article for each category or section instead?

you can make a link listing all items or categories in a section in a blog or table format. Same for categories. Make some content into sections, categories, and articles and play around with the menu links and see how they look. A section is like the car, a category like the back row or front row, and the article is the individual seat. Or look at it like a newspaper. A section is a newspaper section, and the category is the pages, and the article is the individual news item.
