We are a recent addition to the Joomla community when we migrated our forumsoftware-based community to Joomla + JomSocial.

I wrote myself a number of SQL Statements that brought over our 20,000+ users to the following tables

jos_users
jos_core_acl_aro
jos_core_acl_groups_aro_map

Everything seemed to be fine...people were able to login, request their new passwords when necessary etc.
Then Admins started changing records through the User Admin in the backend....and for some reason the jos_core_acl_groups_aro_map went off-sync!

Now it is entirely possible that I did something wrong in migration...but I do not know where to start looking. What seems to happen is that when a SuperAdmin (at least this one person) changes a record in the backend (like email address), the respective record in jos_core_acl_groups_aro_map gets deleted. the other two table stay ok...

Can anyone indicate me where I should start looking??

Can anyone even give me an indication on what circumstances would a record in the jos_core_acl_groups_aro_map get deleted.... what actions would make that happen so I could check the functions to see if my tables are done incorrectly...

I wish I knew. The same thing has happened to my site 3 times. We keep repopulating jos_core_acl_groups_aro_map, but records keep disappearing.
