I suggest you read the GPL license about what is possible or not, since with the little information you give it's not possible to give a good answer to that.

Being a newby at joomla, but having a like question I wondered what Antonie means by GPL licnese. Is n't Joomla under Creative Common license?

My question is more: what means the license (CC!) with commercial use? May I publish my companies web using Joomla? As I read the license I may not! too bad for Joomla I must look for a different CSM now.

Sorry Guys. I made an interpretation error: It is the Joomla documentation on the website that is under CC license, NOT Joomla itself!

Indeed, the documentation is CC, Joomla is GPL.
