I use Joomla 1.5.14 on four different sites and have noticed on the registration form that the text

"Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required." is missing.

I have checked the language file also default.php and can see no reason why it does not display.
The template is purity and no changes have been made.

Is there somewhere I can check.
