Problem Description:
Cant login and get an weird url

When i try to log in to my joomla site it works the first time, right after you logout and want to try logging in it just reloads the homepage with an extension to the url.




so ?time=1257383275 gets added.


Log/Error Messages:

http://www.behindgaming.nl/?time=1257383275

Actions Taken:
1. Attempted to edit the Home module, but no help
2. Attempted to clean all cache but didnt help either




anyone know how to fix this?

That's not a query string I've seen from Joomla. You talk about "edit the Home module", perhaps you have inadvertently edited something incorrectly? You don't have SEF activated, so it's not an SEF thing. I think you need to review the things you've hacked (edited).

well ive only edited it in the admin pannel, i told it to show no posts on the frontpage, but i dont know if thath is the problem.

If you just want to set your front page with no post, you just need PUBLISH/UNPUBLISH your article, in the frontpage manager.
For your trouble, if you are edited some string or some code in your web files, of course it can be big trouble if you didn't carefully.

The very last thing i edited where css files for RokDownloads, to change the background colors.
but it wouldn't work so i just deleted rokdownloads, right after that this happened.

also i use dual login with an smf forum trough jfusion, and in smf i can still login perfectly.
for the jfusion i think i had to add a line somewhere, but i can't remember, ill scan the docu's in a bit.

Are you just delete the files of RokDownloads or you are UNINSTALL it ?
I'm still wait explanation about edited in jfusion.

i uninstalled rokdownloads completely, and nevermind about the jfusion edit, it was to a vbulletin file at the time but i deleted vbulletin and replaced it with smf. but the problem came when i uninstalled rokdownloads.

also the ?time= value grows every second

Just like [compusolve] says, check your SEF are ON/OFF ?
What your JOOMLA version ?

Which SEF extension you use? Your SEF-URL's are rather strange and not compliant to anything I have seen before.

i have joomla 1.5 with no sef activated at my knowings

Ok i tried reïnstalling rokdownloads, witch did not fix the problem, i will try to install an alternative login module now, becouse i use the one from jfusion, but they say you can use anyone you want so.. maybe that fixes it. i will also try to find te query in the login module if that is the problem...

anyone got an idea what this could be? i never encountered this ever...

also tried player wit SEF but on or off it does nothing

ok tried other login module, that does not fix it, i realy dont know anymore, ill try an other theme maybe?

Seems to not work either, could this be a SQL error?

The ?time gets added if you enable the jfusion system plugin. That checks if sessions are synchronised between all jfusion plugins, recreates sessions if needed and refreshes the page to set the new cookies. During the refresh the ?time gets added to make sure the browser does not use a cache.

You can do anything with Joomla, but its so difficult to integrate between IPB and Joomla. Used the other extensions.

I'm afraid someone might read this (quoted) and misunderstand - if you PUBLISH / UNPUBLISH - that is global and your article will or will not appear period. You would check the "Frontpage" display checkbox to have an article display on the front page and you would uncheck it for it to appear elsewhere but not on the front page.
