Umlaut not displayed in my pagetitle

Post by lainkes » Sun Feb 28, 2010 4:16 pm

Hello,

I have an ä in my title. And it is not displayed.
In the body of the article, it's no problem.
Only in H1 to H5.
Link to the page :
http://www.gc-aquarius.be/index.php?opt ... 22&lang=nl
So it must be in the css file, but I have no idea where to look.
If I check the source code, I see that the ä is encoded as

Code: Select all

ä
in html. So that's correct.

Any idea what's wrong?

Thanks in advance

Greetings

Lainkes

The sourcecode you saw is not the code what the Browser is using. Your title with the missing umlaut is created by your installed flash-plugin named sIFR. It has often Problems with umlaut.
Turn of your flashplugin in your Brwoser and check your webpage again. Now you will see it right.

Solution: try a another font for sIFR. Perhaps it works better with your umlaut.

Or think about to turn of the sIFR in h1 - h5-Tags for simple fonts. Its better for your SEO ;) .
