Error message

I have just intalled joomla
I am getting this error message

Warning: Parameter 1 to modMainMenuHelper::buildXML() expected to be a reference, value given in C:\wamp\www\joomla\libraries\joomla\cache\handler\callback.php on line 100

in the main menu box
I would be grateful for any assitance

Sounds like you're using php5.3, which Joomla! does not currently work with...

FYI: putting "warning parameter 1 to modmainmenuhelper" in a google searched popped up that article as the first response! :eek:

Actually, if you're using Joomla! 1.5.14 or before, then yes, PHP 5.3 doesn't work. That said, that release is well over a year old (we're at 1.5.22 now), so I'd highly recommend updating.
