What is wrong with my site?

When I make changes to the template the front end does not populate with the new information after I refresh the page.

Why does it not make the change immediately after i refresh the page?

Also, when I change templates my data does not poputlate to the new default template. Any idea why and how to correct this issue?

Do you have Joomla! cache enabled? if so, it will take the time the cache is set for to be displayed. Try "clearing cache" before refreshing the page, both in joomla! and your browser.

Extensions > Extensions Manager
Look for System - Cache and turn it off.
I just remembered after two days i had enabled this.
Not sure if it should be off but it's off now and everything updates fine on the site!

i am having the same problem, i have searched throughout this forum and everyone is saying the same thing abotu the cache...i have cache turned off and cleared the cache, but i am still having the issue. It takes about 10 minutes for my changes to show up on the front end.

PLEASE does anyone else have another solution besides cache?

There are 2 cache options you should check.

1- Check the global configuration for caching
2- Check the cache plugin (system plugin)

Make sure both are disabled then clean your cache and try again.

i did not disable the cache plugin. that solved everything right away

i am having the same problem but i do not have the system cache on or the global cache on. I am finding that my changes that i make through the cpanel are taking around ten hours or so. for example a site here http://www.headlineplus.com i changed the writing in a module to blue, got the colour wrong and it turned out green but then i got the colour right and it is still green. can anyone let me know what i need to do please
