Can someone tell me which module I should use to get the 'follow us on facebook' logo on my page. Im using the Stalker component and module atm, but it just shows the social network logos but not the 'follow us' part. I know it sounds like a silly question but does anyone have this? Do I have to make that myself??

Thanks

Wesley

Hi Wesley

I haven't used a component or module for facebook/twitter before but if you can't find a component or module that does what you are looking for you could easily do a custom module in Joomla which would work just as well and you get to choose image, size etc

To do a custom HTML module:

- You would need to find a follow us on facebook image, perhaps do a search on google images and download the image

- Upload the image in Joomla Media Manager to a folder of your choice (Or later do it in the custom module you are creating)

In Joomla go to Extensions -> Module Manager -> Select New -> Custom HTML

- In this module you can insert the image and link it to your facebook/twitter profile and you can select whatever image dimensions you want so the size looks good on your site (Treat this module a little bit like an article but with the added bonus of being able to place it in a desired module position on your site)

- You then select the module position you want the follow us on facebook custom module to be displayed and enable the module

When you refresh your browser your site should show your custom module in the frontend which when clicked will go to facebook/twitter. You can also set the link to open in a new window etc if you want to do that

Cheers

Jamie

Hi there,
I would recommend using a feed link such as http://www.addthis.com/, that can sit in your article file templates located in your template itself. It is a great external module that does not really compromise on seo. And its free to use.

hope this helps

Hi Jamie,

Tried out your idea and it worked well but I just wanted to ask you how do I link the picture to my facebook page??

Thanks

Thanks for the website but I needed something a bit more custom.
