My site is not processing .php files

My site is not processing .php files

This is actully my first post, ever. Though i often visit this place and i ve been able to solve all my problems by reading diff post. Thanks guys

Just yesterday i discovered that one of my site is not displaying any more.
when u type the url u get a prompt to download index.php, /administrator does the same thing

Please somebody help me

First check would normally be with your host to see if anything changed on their end... You should have some type of access to settings with a file extensions management area... There should be a setting for php to run under a program (example: PHP 5.2.x FastCGI)...
