i dont know if this is the wrong forum to post this question as this is the first time i am questioning.
i want to have a search page where user will enter the emailid and respectively the first name and the last time will be display from the database..
I have no idea as to how to do this because I m completely new in using joomla.
Please kindly help me somebody.

Use community builder (CB). In joomla default registration form has limited field. You can add more field but process is complex. You can use community builder. Here you can manage as many field as you want.
