how to create a download link in joomla

hi there,
i'm working on a website made with joomla and I need to upload a pdf document to give possibility to download it to the visitors of the site.
I'm not an expert user of joomla, may somebody explain me how can I do this please? :-[
or please tell me where can I find istruction or tutorials about! ???

You can just upload pdf to the website.

Create link or image "download" or whatever and Link to pdf file. That all

..thanks' a lot to both of you!

I uploaded the file and create a link to the file starting from some text in an article, but this kind of link just opens a new window to see the pdf file.. people can save the file from there but not all are able to do this, so I would like to create a download direct link.. do I need Pocha to do this or can I make a document download link in some other way?

Simplest solution for you is to just zip that pdf. It's not joomla related i think
