Hello creative people,

im trying to put fields from my microsoft acces database right into my joomla site. I know a little bit about Joomla, but not enough to do such things like that. Can anyone tell me some basics where to begin?

a simple explanation:
users can login and search in my acces database (wich is now a local file on my pc)

anyone know where to begin?

My Regards.

Assuming that you know PHP and run XAMPP or Wampserver in your PC, you can write a script which uses ODBC to connect to the MS Access database and imports the tables into MySQL. You can then backup the tables from your PC and restore them to the web server, if it is hosted remotely.
