Hello, I'm doing some side work for a company who is using Joomla 1.5.22 for their website. I'm not really a website guy but am doing my best and have never worked with joomla before. All I'm trying to do right now is add facebook and Twitter images with links to the companies facebook and twitter pages but am having all kinds of trouble. The images are added but will only show up when the paged is viewed in compatibility mode (IE8 and IE9). In IE8 the images are gigantic, in IE9 they look like they should. I'm just wondering if their version of Joomla is to old to be running with ie8 and 9. Any assistance is appreciated.

Joomla 1.5 works all right with IE8 and IE9. The reason for the behaviour is more likely in the template or CSS you are using. You can use the F12 function in IE or Firebug in Firefox to troubleshoot those problems.

You should upgrade your 1.5.22 to 1.5.26. I second toivo on the browser issues.

I still use 1.5 on site that have been made over two years ago. The reason is hard to migrate the same exact design with thousands of articles to 2.5. Decided to save time and stick with 1.5. For new sites, I'd definitely start using 2.5.

Here is the guide on how to use the various browser's diagnostic tools.

Hi joom12,

I just want to ask: Why don't you use Joomla 2.5? You are new to Joomla, and Joomla 1.5 won't be supported in this September anymore.
