How do I add Captcha to Joomla 1.5

How can I add a captcha to our website which is a Joomla 1.5 template? I'm not fully conversant with CPanel and really only do the basics of Web Content Editing. We are now just getting bombarded by site registration which are clearly computer generated. Can anyone please help me with this. Thanks in advance for your replies. :'(

This one works with 1.5.7 and up supposedly. You might install and try it. http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... aGEiO30%3D
